What type of duck hunting will we be doing?

At North Delta, we have several locations on the property that hold ducks, each one, provides a slightly different hunting scenario, but we’ll always be hunting ducks over water, comfortably, in Box Blinds and/or Pit Blinds.

Do i need to bring waders?

Yes, waders are essential and we ask that all guest wear them.

Can I bring my own dog?

We DO NOT allow outside dogs. Our team of professional and experienced staff have qualified retrievers to assist on each hunt. The dog work provided at North Delta is all part of the overall experience, and so— No outside dogs, no exceptions.

How long Do guests hunt each day at North delta? do we hunt morning and afternoon?

No, we hunt at North Delta until 1pm each day. Allowing waterfowl to relax in the afternoon at North Delta, not pressured by hunter, provides us with great morning hunts day-after-day.

Can i get my hunting license there?

No, please purchase license before arrival. Missouri has a hold period. Please purchase at this link  https://huntfish.mdc.mo.gov/hunting-trapping/species/waterfowl/waterfowl-permits - We do recommend that guests take care of this before arriving to avoid any issues with our internet or the MDC website not working. You must have the proper (resident/non-resident) Missouri hunting licenses to hunt at North Delta.

Which hunting license will i need?

Per the Missouri Department of Conservations Website:

Resident Waterfowl Hunters need the following permits:

• Small Game Hunting or the equivalent Lifetime Conservation Partner permit

• Migratory Bird Hunting Permit

• Federal Duck Stamp

Non-Resident Waterfowl Hunters need the following permits:

• Nonresident Small Game Hunting Permit

• Migratory Bird Hunting Permit

• Federal Duck Stamp

What type of shot-shells should i bring?

You can bring any non-toxic shot of your choice. We recommend 2, 3, or 4 size shot. We also have shells for sale at the lodge.

Do i need to bring my own gun?

Yes, you need to bring a 12, or 20 gauge shotgun.

Which airport do i fly into?

Commercial flights should arrive to Memphis, TN, or St. Louis, MO. Both are within a couple hours of the lodge. You’ll need a rental car to get the rest of the way here.
